2008 335i build questions
Hi all, i'm currently rebuilding my n54. I blew up the engine within the first week of purchasing it and it was due to a hole in the oil drain line for the top mount turbo (Precision 6266). I have a couple questions for you all if you could answer them because I am not that smart when it comes to this platform.
1. I ordered this kit from 5150 motorsports to build the motor: (https://5150autosport.com/products/5...sONyzJale2cmvn) This kit is rated for 1000hp or 900whp according to the people who sell it. I only want to max out at 800whp, would that be safe? I can't list all the parts that are installed on it because I am not the one who installed them (the 1st owner installed the aftermarket parts to run single turbo. i'm the 3rd owner) 2. What parts should I purchase and have installed to make this car last running that kind of power? It already has an oil catch can and upgraded intercooler. (i'm already ordering the 2-pin crank hub that insane performance makes.) 3. I know there's many factors that plays into this question but how long do you think this motor will last with supporting mods if i beat on it each weekend or every other weekend? Thank you guys in advance! |
