Testing injectors N54

So I just acquired a 2013 335IS and I have a code for too Rich bank 1. I cleared it and hasn’t returned but during cold start, the car runs very choppy until it warms up. I checked the O2 sensors and fuel pressure and everything seems to be fine and within spec. Steady 2v on both O2 sensors pre cat. 72+ psi on low pressure fuel.

I’m using a Foxwell scanner the NT 710 and was wondering if there’s any way to monitor the fuel injectors to see if they are indeed leaking after I shut the car off without removing them?

I also pulled the live data and my bank 1 and 2 are off by a lot on the Multiplicative values. I see that the computer is pulling fuel away from bank one but how would I know if its because of a leaking injector or bad O2 sensor???

If I swap connections with bank 2 the values should reverse and the trouble should follow to Bank 2 correct ??

Looks on your device in Live date something like “smoothness values”. I have something similar to this on my Launch scanner.

You won't be able to see if your injector is leaking as those values showing how good or bad cylinder performing. But this values can help you to narrow down cylinders with bad performance.

No, you have to physically inspect. Although if your car missfires in cold morning that is a good sign it is.

My car is going through this right now.

There's a user on the forum here who offers DI testing services or at least he used to, I sent some used index 12s and had them tested/cleaned to confirm they weren't leaking before I uninstalled them. iqraceworks

I was also surprised to see the thermal imaging, what a difference between healthy used index 12s and a pair of functional yet noisy old Index -09s. The old 09s were running. significantly hotter.

OP if you want to confirm the problematic injector remove your spark plugs after the car has sit overnight. It should smell of strong fuel and can even look visually different, usually black (more rich).

That will be my next step. I was also going to unplug the O2 sensor in bnk 1 and see if the idle smooths out. Wouldn't that prove a faulty sensor??
