(2026) Best Independent Shop in/near San Jose?
I'm looking for a shop that offers good prices, quick turnaround time & quality work. My car's ~20 years old now & needs some maintenance. I want to find a mechanic who knows their stuff & communicates well to help me prioritize what to fix/upgrade/etc. to keep everything running well for the next several years, without blowing the budget up too much.
I've done the 325 --> 330 ECU flash myself & last November I had a shop near my old apartment install the 330 intake manifold to complement that upgrade, but the shop I went to for that had some trouble getting it done correctly & I'm not living next to them anymore anyway, so I want to find a new shop. Before that, I used to go to Rudy at All Foreign Auto down town, but I think he retired last year. Any recommendations? |

I purchased my 330i from a guy in San Jose, the car was serviced by Fast Lane European ever since it was purchased CPO from Peter Pan BMW in 2008 up until I bought it from him in 2020. Quality of maintenance/work was excellent, I'd definitely consider them if I lived nearby.

Max motors in San Carlos is great. Ask for avy he can get whatever you need done at the best prices in the bay in my experience for the quality work he does.
