What's this leak?
What’s up guys first post. This is the bottom of oil pan on my 2011 335i. I don’t know if this is valve cover gasket or oil pan gasket. My serpentine belt is bone dry so I’m not thinking it’s the ofhg.

Whoa.
Probably a combination of both, with the possibility of rear main seal thrown in for fun. Is that the front differential for AWD car? If so, there are additional seals where it goes through the OPG that could be leaking. It also complicated the OPG job immensely. Look up high along the VCG line on the lower exhaust side. The further back you go your chances of seeing the leak increase. If it's gummed up and nasty, that's your first job. Do that and clean everything really well and then basically wait and recheck. |
