Slight fire…

6 months ago I removed the battery from my 2009 323i (E90) and my car sat for about 6 months untouched as I was delaying on the valve cover job! Fast fwd to a few days ago, I completed the valve cover and I fully charged my battery with noco genuis before re installing into car. There are a few small repairs I need to do on the car before taking on the road so each day i turned the car on for about 20 min per day let it ran, no leaks from freshly done valve cover! Now, I notice my engine is making a chirping noise and I watch a YouTube video showing I can rev for 2 min on 3000 rpm and chirping sound will go away (lifter tick sound). After 1 min of Reving I see smoke, I turn off car and open hood to see a small fire! What it turns out happened is the cable that runs from the side wall to the starter and to the alternator, even though it was in the nut I unknowingly let it run under the engine instead of over the engine, so it layed against the catalytic converter and once it got hot it melted the wire and caused the small fire on that cable. My new battery is destroyed! I have the replacement cable, but just wondering where I go from here? Should I expect to now replace my starter and alternator? Electrical problems? The intake is off so just wondering what I should replace while it’s off, and also what about the positive battery cable in the trunk should I replace that as well? Thanks. FYI car has not been started since, Ofcourse need to address the potential new issues before turning on

What do you mean by "My new battery is destroyed" like did it actually explode or melt or something?
