I’ve successfully installed my zf6hp21 in my e90 328i N52. It runs and drives great and buttery smooth. I wanted to tune it with xhp but come to find out the EGS hardware number (7591971) isnt supported by xhp even though this transmission came out of a 2008 335i e90. Is there a workaround for this problem? If not, there’s a local junkyard with a 2007 e90 335i and I’m pretty sure it has a 6hp21, should I be fine with swapping the EGS from that one into mine and reflashing it with winkfp to my vin. After that, in theory xhp should work. I’m not sure. Any insight on this would be great.
