N53 scraping/grinding/croaking sound when revs are falling
Hello,
I've noticed that in my BMW e92 325i, when I was in park and revved with open hood there is a very weird sound coming from somewhere in the engine. I don't know how to best describe it so I took a video of it where you can clearly hear as I am gently revving and then releasing the pedal and revs start falling, there is this very unpleasant sound. Here is link to MY video https://youtube.com/shorts/8Bmc67pt9rM?feature=share Since I came across some videos which sound exactly like mine e.g. And some other where this distinct sound can be heard - the comment I read the most is that they've been to dealership and mostly it was claimed that this sound is normal for this engine which I don't really think it is and and before I take it to the garage as well I wanted to hear some opinions on what could potentially be wrong. Thanks! Last edited by Robmwert; 06-17-2025 at 11:18 AM.. Reason: didnt realize I couldnt add video mp4.. so I created Youtube link |
