INPA: where to download?
Hey everyone, I have seen a number of mentions of INPA, and I searched the forum but couldn't find the answer to my question: Where do I find INPA? Given my car is about 10 years old, might be a good idea to get something like this. Thanks for your help!
I should add: yes I know how to use Google. I just don't want random viruses.

My pleasure. You can use it as a standalone database. To do diagnostics or coding you'll need a DCAN cable. Bimmergeeks sells one that's supposed to be the best, I would get that if you're going to do any coding. I'm still learning the diagnostics which can't muck anything up so I'm making do with a $17 cable from ebay for the moment. Seems to work fine for diagnostics.
This comes with an old version of INPA on CD disk along with *some* of the hardware drivers you need. The Bimmergeeks install is much better. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Inpa-Softwa...0/164384945207 Last edited by 3PedalJake; 12-25-2020 at 01:30 PM.. |

That's why I suggest the bimmergeeks for coding. I don't think you can mess anything up by reading it so diagnostics should be fine, but I plan to get the bimmergeeks cable before I attempt any coding that's where you can brick it.

I know E chassis. Others not sure.
So question. My computer has BlueTooth... Would a BT OBD reader be compatible with INPA? Would be awesome if that works. |

Thanks for posting this!
I'm a new e90 owner and new to this forum. I installed the INPA software from BimmerGeeks as per the instructions in the file. Now what do I do with the sp-datens file(s)? The installer put in its own data files, should I be replacing those with the ones in the sp-datans download? Thanks in advance HB |
