X6M Owner New to Forum - Intro
Hey Guys,
Just a quick one to say hows it going, I decided to jump on here and join the forum as I have been a BMW nut since I was 9 years old. I am also going to be engaging in a few refinements to my car over the next 12 months and wanted to hopefully pick up some advice and tips about this as I move forward with it. My current car: I am a Brit but live in Poland and over here we have a serious lack of established tuning / custom garages, its not like in the UK and defo not like in the US. We have to travel hundreds of miles usually and then you never know if the place is really any good. Our only option here for peace of mind when it comes to custom/aftermarket work is going to Germany... and it is bloody expensive there. So after 2 years of owning her I'll be making some changes to my beloved red devil.. I don't want to go crazy. I already have 21's on there so now I will be adding lowering springs to bring her down slightly (not too much) and adding spacers so the tires fill the arches a little more. I am looking to black the car out I have seen it done against red and it looks amazing. So black grill, more of a tint on the windows, black badges, new black alloys. Its worth noting that I will be keeping all original parts (obviously) I wont be adding any form of body kit to the car. I already have the black exhaust tips as standard option to the car. I may consider a wrap, I have seen a matt metallic red that looks out of this world with the black accents but I'm not sold on it just yet. Like this below: Following the aesthetics completion on the car I'll be looking to replace the downpipes and remap the ecu. My colleague remapped his X6M and its a different animal to mine, very little lag and much more response off the pedal.. he paid around £2500 for pipes and remap in the UK and came away with around 700HP (145hp gain) So I'll be looking to do the same. So thats me.. and why I am here. Cheers Cy

Thanks for the offer mate, but I am an English bloke living in Poland.. I think your in the US right? I am quite spoiled for choice in terms of tuning in Germany however Poland sucks for decent garages still.. so its a bit of travel and quite expensive unfortunately.

Seriously? that's insane, I now feel very old.. lol Can you advise me of cost to do this? I was thinking about going for this new plug in Racechip GTS Black, they are offering min +100hp and 132nm. Plus improved fuel economy, turbo lag..etc. Is that the kind of thing you guys are doing? Thanks
