Arrow Do I have to worry about water getting into the engine bay computer??πŸ€”

I have a 2008 328i Coupe 6-speed manual

Right now my garage is full so I have to leave my car in the driveway it rains here about once a month and I know some BMWs we're known for getting water in the engine bay computer!

I'm not sure if my car is in danger of this? Periodically I do remove the leaves from the engine and from both sides there are drainage ports, I even get my car vacuum and suck any leaves that might have fell past or through the drainage vents!

I'm wondering what else I could do to keep water out of the engine bay until I can get my car back in the garage?

**Car covers are a pain to put on every day- hence this is my new daily.

Thank you in advanceπŸ™‚

Nope! Sounds like you take care of it. Stress less. Most issues only happen because retards remove cowls and engine covers.

Lol thanks!

So I guess me keeping those drainage ports clean of leaves is the best thing I can do right now?

Heard, taillight seal, and drain that gets clogged, but i have no idea where that is. I dont think its too common but definitely can do so damage if it happens.
