Interior trim repair
The previous owner of my car was less than careful and scuffed one of the rear trim pieces. Then just today one of the strings that holds the spring loaded rear C pillar fabric cover on my E93 snapped and that cover damaged the rear side trim in the same manner. The material is identical to the door cards, it's a foam backed leather texture vinyl.
![]() ![]() What's the best way to repair these? Ebay parts are in worse shape than mine. I'm thinking of using some vinyl safe glue to hold the ripped part down though I know it won't look great. I'm also considering reupholstering them. |

If you want the best result, a skilled automotive upholstery repair person will be able to make it disappear.
I don’t know what other good options exist short of using the same process they would use (which involves filling with a heat-cured compound, graining it to match the surrounding material, and then applying color to blend it all in. Curious if anyone has a good DIY fix!
