HELP - E93 rear window won't roll down!

So long story short I went to put down the convertible top of my 2009 e93 today and the rear passenger window won't roll down. I noticed that I can push it and it's somewhat loose. I can hear the switch clicking in the glove box and I believe I heard the motor as well. My best guess would be off track or bad regulator. I removed the rear panel in the car to access the winow but unlike the doors there doesn't appear to be a way to access it. How do I get to the window? Any ideas what could be causing the window to stay up and not go down? Also this warning is displayed:Note: This is a repost of the symbol, mine does not have that code just the window and exclamation point.

All other windows work fine and the window master control switch was relaced last year so I don't believe that is the problem.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

E93's had a serious issue with burning out motors mostly the rear ones and there was a service bulletin that helped to solve this problem. It entailed stopping power to those motors. I am guessing that your motor is toast. Best suggestion is to check the connectors with a VOM to see if power is reaching that connector to the motor..

I can hear the motor running? Any idea where the motor is located? Also, why would the window be loose?

If you heard the motor, it's probably the window regulator.

I've replaced three on the two E90's I have.

I could hear the motor every time; it's an easy DIY.

It is an e93 and I can't figure out how to access the rear window, I removed the panel but there is no access to the window.

So this thread was nearly a decade ago, but a quick search on YouTube showed how to replace it.

Do you have Digital multimeter? Access to software for diagnostic work?
