Adaptation Reset Mistake 2007 e92 ZF6HP21

So on my 2007 e92 335i auto, I did not like how early the transmission was shifting. I went into carly and reset the transmission adaptations. Thinking this would help, it made my life 10x harder. The car first drove awful and threw a 4F89 code, and felt like the clutch was slipping in 3-4 and then engine would rev . Car also felt not as powerful, and going high in the rev range was thumpy rough. Ive driven around 50 unenjoyable miles since then and the crazy flare got a little better, but now there is still a small flare and the car isnt as powerful as before. Any help or suggestions?

Reset adaptions again when trans fluid is at least 75°c, then do this relearn procedure below. You need a very quiet stretch of road to do this relearn.

Thaks for that. Do you think my issue is just relearn for now or something really needs to be serviced in the transmission?

Was it shifting normally before? Do you know if it's ever been serviced?
