non sequential ones. That blank amber and are clear like stock? I know that they are out they and they can be led as long as they don't toss error codes.
It's also time to do my angel eye bulbs but that was easy. |

TYC halogen assembly with bulb, about $10/ea.
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...assembly,11720 Some say you have to code out bulb checks if you want to run LED. Phillips 194A LED bulb, about $9/ea. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ght+bulb,13676 |

I don't know about the E90 but on the E93 the side markers are tied to the rear turn signal circuit. I swapped to LED side markers and got no errors, but they would flicker on startup from the bulb checks. I coded out the rear bulb checks which stopped the flickering of the side markers but then had a rear turn signal bulb fail and I didn't get the warning.
My beautiful looking Amazon clear LED turn signals turned ugly yellow within 3 months, worse than the 18 year old original side markers that I replaced. I'm going with the TYC lights and back to incandescent bulbs. |

I replaced my fender signal housings with TYC a while back and while they're not an exact match to OE, they're still a great alternative at an excellent price.
Use chrome coated halogen bulbs for a clean look without messing with LEDs. Edit: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...ostcount=25428 Last edited by The Nightman; 06-12-2025 at 01:11 AM.. |

Yeah, I would rather have the bulb check function than not on this museum piece. So staying with old style bulbs and just used CAPA-certified TYC rather than those Amazon offerings.

Wasn't impressed with TYC markers. I got a pair of those off Carparts and the rubber bead that touches the fender literally began to melt away in less than 5 months and I typically park my car in the shade. Just go genuine.

That sucks, thanks for sharing. I replaced mine last fall so this will be their first summer. Hopefully they survive

I've had my TYC replacements installed for 10 years now with zero issues - no-brainer in my book.
