Mystery Traction Control problem car inoperable

2008 328i GM auto-trans.

The yellow dash hazard (yield sign w/arrowed circle around it) comes on with the car in drive (or reverse) whenever gas pedal is pressed (happens with all six gears and rev.). Happens on the ground moving along the road and up on the rack (Quick-Jack home garage lift). Occurs right away, and, with it, the engine power chokes off (RPMs stay low, sputters with essentially no power and no other dash lights come on, no codes set/register either). Car won't get above 12 mph.

Oddly, at idle in drive while the car is moving in forward or reverse (both on the ground and up on the lift), the condition doesn't happen. Only when the gas-pedal is pressed does it happen, and, of course, the dash light comes on (I assume that is the traction control warning??). Flooring the pedal does nothing - the RPMs stay around 1k and the engine 'chokes' and sputters (it does remain running).

I changed the rear driver's speed-sensor with a new sensor cable and visually, the speed-ring (Reluctor ring) looks Ok (as does the passenger side).

No codes set (SES type).

Any ideas?

Fixed: I replaced the two rear speed sensor rings and the two sensors (2-wheel drive).
