Looking back at my notes, the rough shifts were worse when cold. The pressure switch discs solved them to this day. I am not sure if yours are the exact same problems as I am not a transmission expert, but sounds similar.
Except mine were 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 shifts because of that left-most pressure switch failure. From what I understand, that switch controls Clutch 1-2-3-4 and probably was why. Just guessing anyway.
