BMW n55 pwg boost solenoid bypass

I bypassed the boost solenoid pressure converter by disconnecting the vacuum hoses from the boost solenoid and connect the hoses with a 1/8 barb straight connector so that all the air from vacuum pump goes to the wastegate actuator to keep the wastegate valve close all the time to get faster throttle response.
The result is less throttle lag and the car is running stronger. No check engine light nor codes…..love it.
And….this is a good way to test a solenoid (low Boost situation) without a vacuum pump.
Bypass the solenoid and if the boost goes up it is a bad solenoid, if the boost stays the same (low) the boost leak is somewhere else.
The solenoid bypass will stop the wastegate rattle too!
I am not going to keep the wastegate bypassed all the time , just for race day or racing occasions!

Sounds like a really good idea.
The boost solenoids are just extra crap BMW put in the car to make it more unreliable and the wastegates are just there to rattle and have no functional purpose.
Sounds to me like a win/win scenario. If you are a keen DIY guy you could weld the wastegates shut so you don't even need to wait for vacuum to build and remove all the extra failure points of the vacuum lines.
