That never stopped people from running 20 psi of boost from stock turbos
Subarus, Mitsubishis, Hondas, Toyotas and most of the turbo cars come with the wastegate valve closed under no boost and the valve only opens on the preset boost limit so one can say that theses cars are running 90% of the time with the wastegate valve closed. When they increase the boost on these cars all they do is keep the valve close for longer or closed all the time (when running 20 or more psi of boost
Are the turbos from bmw of inferior quality than all the turbo cars since the 70’s that came from factory with the wastegate closed?
