I think that fits with the codes you're seeing. Egr and maf codes always go together like that; basically means that the DDE is seeing a different qty of air going into the engine from what it expects, so it flags the egr and maf (the only intake air sources).

Charging pressure would be affected by this too, since the air flow is very different.

I assume that 483d is referring to the swirl flap control rather than the ASV, but I could be wrong. I guess that as it is now, the swirl flaps would have been sticking on the slipped gasket?

If the gasket doesn't fix your issue, I'd look to the ASV and make sure it's operating properly. I'm pretty sure ISTA-D has a test routine for it.
